Is this fair according to NHS Constitution ?

If a specialist working in both Private & Nhs Sectors says you can't get endemetriosis after menopause what about hyperplasia probably genetic microvascular after severe dysmennhorea at pubity ?Why am I getting a cyst enlarging monthly like tangarine in labial vaginal wall & having to self fund excision.Could it be a conflict of interest to rip off ?How can I address this discrimination as not EVEN allowed to raise issues ?!

If you see a consultant privately, they can add you to the NHS list if it’s an operation normally available.

I’m not sure if this is what you meant.

They usually ask for GP referral who does not want to know looking after own interests contract /remit .this is downright discrimination & how they fund the nhs unreasonably by cutting our care when disabilities with multi emanating conditions otherwise why leave & prevent with no provision .

Hi

I went private with no GP referral, I wanted to talk to someone with no crappy letters or bias involved. He was fine, diagnosed Endo, and he was happy to do lap/treatment on NHS if I wanted. I’d initially wanted to talk about fibroids on renal scan, the NHS referral ended up with Urogynaecology and I felt this was wrong and going to waste more time. I was put in the box of menopause even though still having periods by GP’s.

He dismissed fibroids as too small but since lap changed his mind as discovered more and larger.

I ended up selling some things to get it out of the way.

I hope you can get it sorted, being in pain/discomfort is horrible.

The Consultant was NHS & me in 70s in uk tried to get private ultrasound as preventative [ possible slow cancer genetic ] then ripped off for private consultation to refuse ? Have had a number of D& Cs for fibroids & cysts since a child in gynae as inflamed & going rigid re neglected treatment of urosepsis & gynae too .Now trying to get whooping cough test as ignored giving me the vaccine when introduced as had had broncho pneumonia ? Passed on to medically unqualified call centre when have self funded assistance re poor mobility & function .False econmy heartache when will they learn ?

Hi

Hope you don’t have cancer, although saying that I’m sure Endo is a type of cancer, looks and acts the same.

They’ll never learn 🤦‍♀️ They don’t think that way. I hope you sort the test out. I recently managed to get GP to do shingles vaccine after he kept refusing. I showed him the NICE guidelines that said Drs can make up their minds if need be. 😂

Keep pushing, don’t be put off by them.

As far as I know endo absolutely can continue after menopause as it produces its own eostrogen. If this doctor is coming up with an alternative diagnosis to refer you to his own private practice that is definitely dodgy. I don’t know where would be appropriate to complain, maybe pals? As far as treating your actual health, if you’re on Facebook I’d suggest joining a group called Nancy’s Nook. It’s not a support or discussion group more like a library with loads of evidence based research and recommended doctors (including NHS) who actually know what they’re doing x

I totally agree I had full hysterectomy 27 years ago.i also think endo is autoimmune. The Drs don't listen I've been telling them for years I still have it but they keep putting cameras inside I really need them to look outside my organs.I have 4_5 autoimmune diseases including PID according to them.i think they're wrong its endo.

The health structure has not taken on board development in equality & technical/funding or human rights abuse via automatic ignoring consent & hippocratic oath.uk & political civil liberties abuse effecting legal regulation via boundaries .

suspect can be a symptom of festering cancer but as can grow anywhere like cancer , dementia there in causes funding problem so discriminate by prioritising ignoring all other areas & technical equipmemnt not up to date .The Dr on This Morning 1st feb 2024 chose not to address vulnerability , Genetic research issues & political & how can develop & backfire if neglected or not informed fairly !
