I had a laproscopy three weeks ago and although the added pain and briusing from the laproscopy has now gone im still getting the constant lower back pain and cramps i was experiencing prior to the op. I am taking naproxen, tramadol and amitripyline and finding that i need these drugs to have some relief. I was wondering what other people were taking for pain and what there experiences were after surgery did the pain go away?

My operation was on the 17.11.11 and I am still experiencing pain (but not as bad). I am seeing my consultant in Feb and so I will be asking him why I still have pain...In the meantime, I take Tramodol (2x), paracetmol and Naproxen. Have you got a review appointment with your consultant? x

not for another 5 months which seems like a long time. Im having side effects from the naproxen to my kidneys so have to see gp again. The gp said it can take 6months for pain to go if it does as theres no guarentee be pain free which sucks. Im having to take pain meds daily and just up the dose when the pain worsens. x
