New Sensor Ordered: DEXCOM (Nuevo sensor pedido: DEXCOM)

Today, I had changed the sensor earlier than when it was scheduled to be removed because the sensor from last Monday wasn't working correctly for the last few days. I called DEXCOM this morning after breakfast and asked for them to send me a new, free replacement. The Represenative told me that they will send it to me this week and it should be to me between 3-5 days. I'm hoping that is right because the sensors seem to be going faster these days (even when we don't need to ask for free replacements).

This morning and a few times last night, the readings were not being shown and when they were, then they were way off from the Breeze2 monitor I use to test. For example, after eating breakfast, the DEXCOM thought I was 84 with one arrow straight down when on the Breeze2, I was 205! With this in mind, I had told this to the Represenative and she was not happy to hear that the system is so far off. This was one reason why she let me get a free replacement. The other reason was because the reporting of the numbers kept going away and coming back at odd times. The system also alarmed when it shouldn't have done so since those numbers weren't even correct, either.

Do you think it could be linked to the weather or something? Over here in the UK we've had a heat wave for month now and it seems to making everything go away.

The heatwave may have something to do with the adhesive tape, but not sure about the sensor issues. It’s a good guess, though!😀👍

It was just a thought because our internet connection has been really bad during this heatwave. Also, my blood sugars go a bit heywire when it's too hot.

I'll keep guessing though!

My numbers always have trouble when the temperature is really warm.
