Sorry for the delay, but I had been really busy all day yesterday and today. Here is the update on the DEXCOM.
Lamento la tardanza, pero había estado realmente ocupado todo el día ayer y hoy. Aquí está la actualización en el DEXCOM.
To start off with, yesterday was a very unusual day in general (health and other issues). First, I had been off from my job because of Veteran's Day Weekend, so the center where I work at was closed for the day (we reopen on Monday morning). Then, I had trouble on and off with the DEXCOM's sensor that had to be replaced, anyway (I will explain about this part in a few minutes.).
Para comenzar con, ayer era un día muy extraño en general (salud y otras cuestiones). En primer lugar, había sido desconectado de mi trabajo debido al Fin de semana del Día del Veterano, por tanto el centro donde trabajo en se cerró para el día (nos volvemos a abrir el lunes por la mañana). Entonces, tenía el problema en y lejos con el sensor del DEXCOM que se tuvo que sustituir, de todos modos (explicaré sobre esta parte en unos minutos.).
When I was at the center on Thursday (my last day of work for this week), I had to have a very early morning snack since the DEXCOM said I was dropping from 140 to 112 one arrow straight down. On the Breeze2, I was actually 120. This would've been okay if I was about to have a meal, but since I had been at work, I had to have a snack at 9:30 am, so I could keep working until 12 noon (my lunch break). Unfortunately, since it was Thursday, one of my coworkers wasn't in and we were short staffed. So, I had my snack really fast after testing and got back to the kitchen area to help serve the coffee and tea for the morning (from 10-11 am). It's not sometimes easy to be in a lot of places at one time, but I guess I'm learning how to do that and also check everything on the DEXCOM at the same time! It's great to know that I have an understanding Director. She saw what was going on as soon as she came to the front desk (I do my testing there when no one else is able to cover the desk area). At the same time, I had gotten a few text messages from my parents dealing with my number and what the DEXCOM had been reporting (bad wifi connection in the building sometimes).
Cuando estaba en el centro el jueves (mi día anterior del trabajo para esta semana), tuve que tener primera hora de bocado de mañana ya que el DEXCOM dijo que me caía de 140 a 112 una flecha directamente abajo. En el Breeze2, tenía realmente 120 años. Esto habría sido bien si estuviera a punto de tener una comida, pero ya que había estado en el trabajo, tuve que comer algo ligero a las 9:30, por tanto podría seguir trabajando hasta 12 mediodía (mi ruptura del almuerzo). Lamentablemente, ya que era el jueves, uno de mis compañeros de trabajo no estaba en y éramos cortos proveído de personal. De este modo, tenía mi bocado realmente rápido después de probar y recuperé a la cocina a ayudar a servir el café y té para la mañana (a partir de las 10:00 - 11:00). ¡No es a veces fácil estar en muchos sitios en algún momento, pero adivino que aprendo cómo hacer esto y también comprobar todo en el DEXCOM al mismo tiempo! Es estupendo saber que tengo un Director comprensivo. Vio lo que continuaba tan pronto como vino a la recepción (hago mis pruebas allí cuando nadie más es capaz de cubrir el área del escritorio). Al mismo tiempo, había conseguido unos mensajes de texto de mis padres que tratan con mi número y lo que el DEXCOM había estado relatando (conexión de Wi-Fi mala en el edificio a veces).
On Friday, the old sensor that had been replaced kept having issues. Sometimes, the numbers wouldn't be reported here and there. Then, the numbers would come back, but be not even close to what the Breeze2 had said, so I had to recalibrate at odd times during the day. Along with no numbers being reported, I had to go to a doctor's appointment that should have been last Friday, but had to be rescheduled at the very last minute. Had my doctor's appointment in the afternoon-- yesterday and brought a new sensor with me just to be on the safe side of things (had to use the new sensor). During the appointment, the old sensor just never started working again, so I changed it after the 3 hour waiting period-- in the appointment. Seemed like an okay plan, but I would've liked being able to change the sensors at home instead if I had the choice. It's good that DEXCOM will be sending me a free, new replacement sensor and I was told it should be here by Tuesday since it's the Veteran's Day Weekend. Hope it comes before the 8 pm timeframe. I'll let you know more when I can. So far, the new sensor I put in is doing great!
El viernes, el viejo sensor que se había sustituido siguió teniendo cuestiones. A veces, los números no se relatarían aquí y allí. Entonces, los números volverían, pero ni siquiera estarían cerca de lo que el Breeze2 había dicho, por tanto tuve que calibrar de nuevo en tiempos raros durante el día. Junto con ningunos números relatados, tuve que ir a la cita de un doctor que debería haber sido el viernes pasado, pero se tuvo que renegociar en el último minuto. Tenía la cita de mi doctor por la tarde - ayer y trajo un nuevo sensor conmigo sólo para estar en el lado seguro de cosas (tuvo que usar el nuevo sensor). Durante la cita, el viejo sensor sólo nunca comenzó a trabajar otra vez, por tanto lo cambié después del período de espera de 3 horas - en la cita. Parecido bien planean, pero me habría gustado ser capaz de cambiar los sensores en casa en cambio si tuviera la opción. Está bien que DEXCOM me enviará un sensor de reemplazo libre, nuevo y me dijeron que debería estar aquí antes del martes ya que es el Fin de semana del Día del Veterano. Esperanza viene antes del margen de tiempo de 20:00. Le dejaré saber más cuando pueda. ¡Hasta ahora, el nuevo sensor en el cual puse hace grande!
