Dopamine
I just read that
dopamine
is made in the adrenals I had not heard this in the past so I am wondering what does this all mean? So maybe there is
dopamine
being made but the cells can't use it properly?

But I am worried about it affecting
dopamine
levels or blocking
dopamine
. I am looking to add to my stack of supplements.

Miller, PhD, a professor at Columbia University, will assess how to prevent further damage of
dopamine
-producing neurons by levodopa and its derivatives. Levodopa is the precursor of
dopamine
and a gold standard therapy for Parkinson’s that effectively reduces early motor symptoms.

Refractory RLS Study
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0022510X24002569 A new study on refractory RLS recommends NOT starting young patients on
dopamine
agonists. Hopefully, we will start to see more and more of these studies and they will condemn the use of
dopamine
agonists.

RB-190 - A drug repurposed - for Parkinsons
He says, and all Parkinson's neurologists know that Parkinsons patients have little
dopamine
in their brains compared to other people - their "vesicles" can't store

Dopamine Dysregulation Syndrome
Definition here; https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dopamine_dysregulation_syndrome How can docs be sure? A lot of the alleged "symptoms" would be entirely understandable from someone denied a medication that helps...and I don't get anything like euphoria from taking it...just a cessation of physical symptoms

Interesting: "pro-dopamine regulator KB220"
It's been used to revitalize/repair/bring back
dopamine
system to homeostasis for several conditions including RLS. Has anyone tried or heard of it? I'm thinking it could be especially helpful for DAWS (coming off
dopamine
agonist meds).

dopamine reuptake inhibitor
Here is my question, pramipexole is a
dopamine
agonist and my doctor has prescribed wellbutrin which is a
dopamine
reuptake inhibitor. I haven't started taking the wellbutrin yet, I thought would be best if run this question by the very knowledgable here first.

Rethinking Parkinson’s Disease: could dopamine reduction therapy have clinical utility. (The article)
Abstract
Following reports of low striatal
dopamine
content in Parkinson’s disease, levodopa was shown to rapidly reverse hypokinesis, establishing the model of disease as one of
dopamine
deficiency.

That is a LOT of people and LOADSA money for the pharmaceutical companies making
dopamine
agonists. No wonder they don't want the medical profession to learn how to treat it properly and stop prescribing
dopamine
agonists.

Too much dopamine the problem?
Found another study showing too much

as the issue. Is there something to this?https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/jnc.15442

gut microbiota and dopamine
From: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9905700/ So -- if butyrate, which when taken "correctly" can affect Parkinson's, that shows that gut microbiota affect
dopamine
in some way. Which indicates that RLS may be caused by a problem in the gut microbiota.

using Nicotine patch to control dyskinesia
Nicotine is supposed to help with modulation of
dopamine
(sort of like gatekeeper) so it prevents
dopamine
surge that causes dyskinesia. I’ve read some articles from reputable publications like NEJM, NIH, pubmed etc but haven’t the studies are inconclusive.
