Does anyone know who’s classed as been suitable/unsuitable for this?
How does it work differently to other Dopamine meds?
I believe it’s very effective, is anyone on it?
Advice and help much appreciated

Nothing startlingly new.Simplistically it sounds like a soluable version of Sinemet but with a different way of having it, by continuously pumping it in to you. Useful for pwp experiencing frequent on/offs/diskinesia.
PRODUODOPA® (foslevodopa/foscarbidopa) is a solution of levodopa and carbidopa prodrugs for 24-hour continuous subcutaneous infusion for the treatment of advanced levodopa-responsive Parkinson's disease with severe motor fluctuations and hyperkinesia or dyskinesia
I'm on the appointment pump how's it different
Anecdotal, but heard from a Parkinson’s nurse in a group setting:
A) her NHS trust is starting to prescribe Produodopa in limited circumstances.
B) it sounds like there is a high admin burden (unclear if this is inherent in the dosing decision process or if it’s because it’s a new drug.) Timespan of a year mentioned for some aspect (application to prescription?)
C) Being seen as an alternative to DBS in the near term (this seems to tally with the initial figure of helping 1000 people mentioned in the news). But if it goes well she could see it becoming more widespread.
I’m interested in this because of the wearing off /dyskinesia but I’m not sure quite how much it helps and whether the burden of a canular change every three days is a good trade off?
