A doctor in America has gone on the war path against dopamine agonist. There is a video of him addressing recent sleep med grads. He is emphatic about managing patient results where dopamine agonist are concerned.

Just wondering if anyone has seen any useful explanations about damaged dopamine receptors? I don’t see anything really helpful online. My main concern is, of course, wondering if mine will return to normal after 12 years on Pramipexole.

There is no mention in this article by Poppy Koronka, of possible gambling side effects from Dopamine Agonists (Ropinirole, Pramipexole, Neupro) prescribed for RLS.

Dopamine: Dopamine is usually released when we know there is a reward on it's way - so most of you will recognise this when you know a 'smoking break' is on it's way Dopamine helps you to feel mentally alert. The lack of it might cause lack of attention, lack of concentration and bad moods.
