Dopamine to Pregabalin transition advice, please
I started taking Mirapexin in 2002. My dose increased over the years, reaching 5 x 0.088 mg tablets four years ago when augmentation set in. Three years ago, my doctor prescribed pregabalin and allowed me to manage my transition from Mirapexin. I have not yet completed that transition. Today, I take

High-dose DHA and dyskinesia (my experience so far)
Mischley's DHA protocol while watching one of her PD School videos (in the "
Dopamine
Repletion" section). I immediately purchased the Super DHA Forte Liquid and started taking 2 teaspoons per day on December 15, 2023. She recommends this high dose for a month or two.

Ipsen and IRLAB enter exclusive worldwide licensing agreement aimed to improve the lives of people living with Parkinson’s disease
It is estimated that approximately 40-50 percent of people living with PD will experience LID after five years of initiating

Sleep for Pain relief
Overnight is fair enough because you expect systems to repair and renew and tine for
dopamine
stores to build. But for me, even a 15 minute nap can be enough. Why? What is the mechanism of action that turns pain off after just 15 mins of sleep??

Switching from Ropinrole to eg Gabapentin
Hi everyone, I’m wondering if someone can advise about going from
dopamine
agonists - specifically Ropinrole - to the gabapentin type of medication ? My mum is suffering terrible drowsiness (as well as many other symptoms) and I think it’s time to try to do this.

MS and RLS, Top UK Neurologist talks about Dopamine Agonists
One of the top MS neurologists in the UK has written about RLS in MS patients and states that he does not prescribe
dopamine
agonists because of the risk of augmentation. He also prescribes methadone for refractory RLS.

park_bear made a very compelling argument for taking P5P (active B6)
If you are going to neutralize the carbidopa in your system, it makes sense not to while you maybe don’t need extra
dopamine
in your brain. And, because I am afraid to take before bed, I decided to try first thing in the morning.

High Dose CL ?
Even had a Datscan to confirm a severe decrease in
Dopamine
. Sorry this is such a long reply but I really question how she can be on such high dose without side effects...

Drug fails in Phase II trial for treating Parkinson's Disease - Exenatide (Byetta, Bydureon)
Secondary endpoints included MDS-UPDRS part I scores (non-motor aspects of experiences of daily living), clinical and patient impressions of severity, cognitive test scores, and
dopamine
transporter imaging parameters. No secondary endpoint differed from placebo at either dose.

DO YOUR RESEARCH. Cure yourself.
Positive findings of the study demonstrated that ingestion of KSOP1009 was successful in the protection of MPTP toxicity, where this could be correlated with
dopamine
reduction that also decreases ROS and restores mitochondrial roles .

RLS-UK New Film - Ropinirole/Pramipexole/Neupro Patch
The team would like to interview and film UK patients currently reducing
Dopamine
Agonists. Preferably, near the last stage of reduction.

Pramipexole - Confused
He knows the risks of
dopamine
agonist augmentation, but has still wondered if I should try Pramipexole. I am very reluctant because of the risk of augmentation that I’ve read about in this forum. I am trying to limit dairy and gluten.

observations of progressing PD for PWP......Eyes
The smooth muscles that intricately control the eye are effected as all smooth muscles and all sphincter muscles are, by
dopamine
or lack thereof. The tear ducts which are controlled by the Autonomic nervous system, fail to release tears. The eyelids become very itchy as well as the eyes.
