Call for a more complete vitamins blood testing, especially b6.
On my search for the link between PD and N, the interaction between the B vitamins and the formation of
dopamine
came to light, especially the significance of B6 as so clearly described by member Jesus Marquez Rivera in his "Parkinsons Here and Now".

ECOPIPAM for AugmentationUPDATE
If Ecopipam can successfully dampen the D1 receptors that cause Augmentation, that would give hope to hundreds of thousands of RLS patients taking
dopamine
agonists.

Anyone want to share their story about going undiagnosed with ADHD until adulthood?
I randomly stumbled across an article about how the body craves sugar in order to compensate for the lack of
dopamine
in the brain. I dove right in! Read articles about how many adult women go their whole lives not knowing they have ADHD. And all the symptoms sounded like me. I was baffled!

Pioneering stem-cell trials in Japan report promising early results
Professor Jun Takahashi is involved in one trial expected to report results soon, in which researchers used donor-derived iPS cells to generate neurons that produce
dopamine
. They implanted these into the brains of seven people with Parkinson’s disease between 2018 and 2021.

B12-supplement causing restlessness, brain fog, anhedonia and sexual dysfunction
Does it cause depletion of
dopamine
somehow? I Feel like there is no
dopamine
in my body. How does it affect the brain? I dont know if methylation is the cause or what. Seems like some extreme
dopamine
deficiency almost. My GP wants me to take 1000 mcg injections because my deficinecy is so bad.

Levodopa, a standard Parkinson’s therapy, is a precursor molecule that is converted to
dopamine
in the brain. It is well-known for controlling Parkinson’s disease symptoms such as rigidity and slowness of movement.

How did we arrive at Disease?
It’s well known by the medical community that by the time your Parkinson’s symptoms present, you’ve lost 70% of your
dopamine
, over many years, 10 to 20 they say. I was at 15 years from the Tetanus shot.

Teaching money habits
I realize there is a
dopamine
release involved in spending money and getting new things but we are concerned for his future and we’re having a tough timing getting the message across.

Cerebral dopamine neurotrophic factor protects and repairs dopamine neurons by novel mechanism
Since ER stress is thought to be one of the pathophysiological mechanisms contributing to the dopaminergic degeneration in PD, CDNF, and its small-molecule derivatives that are under development may provide useful tools for experimental medicine and future therapies for the treatment of PD and other

FUS technical explanation
The loss of
dopamine
in BG produces electrical signals disturbances in the Thalamus which are causing the PD symptoms. The
dopamine
is coming from Substantia Niagra (naturally) or carbidova/levodoba (artificially).

SSRIs like Sertraline are not good for ADHD anyway as I found through research, they are helpful for those that need a balanced amount of serotonin but again my research suggested that they are more damaging to those misdiagnosed with depression who actually have ADHD and need
dopamine
more than serotonin

Depression
After stopping prozac I wasn't depressed and I can only attribute that to the high levels of
dopamine
I was getting from Ropinirole. After getting off the high dose of Ropinirole a year and a half ago, I suffered extreme DAWS. It seemed as though I had no hope of any solution. I was suicidal.

PD or FND?
It's important because FND is triggered by stress, not some still poorly understood mechanism with
dopamine
. Anyone hear of this?

Study Shows NMN and Herbal Compounds Prevent Neuron Death in Parkinson’s Models
Shen and colleagues show that nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) prevents the death of neurons involved in motor movements (
dopamine
neurons) by improving mitochondrial function.

If you're suffering from RLS, ead this. I suffered for 20 yrs before finding a solution.
If your taking a prescription for a
dopamine
antagonist, do yourself a favor and stop taking it ASAP. This will help! https://seratame.com/rls-protocol/?gclid=CjwKCAjwrZOXBhACEiwA0EoRD1ZMnE3FsYfONKC0gtza76i7d0u1uqJkBWMlLiSNN_kx2cVo1hliIRoC4YYQAvD_BwE

Recent preprint by Jeff Kordower et al. suggests tau (not alpha-syn) is the initial pathology in nigrostriatal dopamine neuron degeneration
"These data should change our thinking of PD pathology and therapies directed towards reducing pathological tau might be a better strategy than those directed at α-syn." Research paper preprint (not yet peer-reviewed): Is Tau the Initial Pathology in Dopaminergic Nigrostriatal Degeneration? Studies
