Hi, just wondering if other people are using imodium to control symptoms. I want to take just one a day to slow things down a bit and keep weight on. One doctor in the early stages of my illness said not to take, in case it causes an infection. However after diagnosis another doctor told me to go ahead and take it. Does any one else take it on a regular basis? Thank you.

I take 4-6 daily and have for years. Along with codeine to thicken my output. Can’t manage without them

I also have suspected I have crohns. My family dr sent me to GI dr who set up colonoscopy. Everything looked good, sent to polyps to to be analized, now waiting. Sorry, got off target, Anyway I take one lapramide (immodium) after 2nd bowel movement in morning. If that isn't enough I will take another later on. My dr said no more than 4 a day but I have taken more than that a few times. If I didn't take it I would be afraid to go out
