Well I missed my session this morning and since completing Week 3 have decided to change route for now and cut the hills out.

Had a sneaky listen to the Podcast last night and was dreading the two x 3 and 5 minutes run/jogs :-/

So sitting here tonight with nothing on the telly I though bugga it, I'll go out. Did some stretching, wrapped up and headed out, mind I didn't expect it to be so cold and icey but I soon warmed up.

The first 3 minute run seemed to take forever haha much longer than on Week 3, but after it wasn't breathless so i though mmmmm this is good. Had my walk then went into the first 5 minute run, kept my pace right down and WOW I did it ... was really chuffed with myself.

Next 3 minute run again seemed to atke forever,w ehn laura prompts you after 90 seconds it seems like it should be 2 minutes haha.

Came to the final 5 minute run, slight incline up the bypass, getting steeper towards the end and managed 2.30 minutes, walked for about 10 seconds then completed the rest. Finished the 5 minute warm down walk then had another 2 minute run before another 5 minute walk home to complete the route.

So not as bad as I thought and worried about, but slightly disappointed i didn't nail that last 5 minutes. BUT I will do on Monday, I'm determined to get it done ;)

One observation from me is, the gaps between Laura's prompts are too long for me, seems like such long gaps between them :-/ I'd love her to chip in at the half way mark, the last minute and the last 30 seconds ... just IMO mind ;) I need more motivation ;)

Well done BigGinger! Good for you for getting out there and meeting it head on! Bet you felt fantastic after it, it gives you such a huge sense of acheivement and pride! I think you've cracked this running thing - you said it yourself - 'I kept the pace right down'. This is the key to making the distance, I think. The time/speed of your runs can be worked on once you've graduated! Best wishes for your future runs! :)

Well done to you, don't be disappointed about walking for 10 seconds, you kept moving that is the main thing, and you will do it next time. You should feel really proud of your achievement. Good luck with your next run :-)

Ahhhh failed again, got to the second 5 minute run and had to walk to catch my breath after two and a half minutes GGGGRRR walked about 10-15 seconds to regain breath and finished it again. Was a killer running into the high winds tonight :(

Wind is always a killer! You are doing great! Don't let it get to you if you need to walk a few steps now and then. Just keep moving regardless of how slow. You are building stamina now. Oona and Rolphie are so right on with all the suggestions. Good luck on your next run! Gayle
