What a wet, miserable day. But, running is part of our lives now, so I got out there this morning, while my wife completed her run this afternoon.
Felt good until the last 5 minutes and then I really started to struggle. Funny how 1 x 20 minute run seemed easier than 2 x 10 minute runs with a break inbetween. But I dug deep and got it done.
Roll on run 3. I'm feeling ready for it.

Ha ha - I thought the same - how come it’s harder with a rest in the middle?? 🤣 well done for getting out in the rain . I think sometimes that’s the worst bit thinking about getting wet once you’re out it’s not a big deal 😁
At least I'm mentally prepared for those first few minutes though. When I started, I knew nothing about it and really struggled. At least once, I was so close to turning back. Of course, I'd never do that lol
So true. I've said before, me and the wife are really good at encouraging each other. We're a good team like that. But the help, advice and support on here has been a massive help to both of us.
Funny thing is, I noticed today that there are certain markers, e.g. a couple of lamp posts. Once I hit those, it's like a psychological barrier and I'm fine
You've done so well sticking to the programme. I've been running for nearly 12 months and I'm really struggling in this cold weather. I'm constantly freezing just being at home and it's took its toll on my regularity, I'm afraid, so we'll done to you both!!!
