Week 5 - Run 1 - A Little Procrastination But I Got Out The Door!

I was supposed to run yesterday but it was my day off from work and I really wanted a lie-in. So I did.

Was determined to get out the door this morning. It took 5 minutes of sitting on the end of my bed before I stopped listening to my brain. Got changed, grabbed my phone and keys and off I went.

The second 5 minute run was tough. I actually wanted to just stop. But I pushed on through until the 3 minute walk. Before, when reviewing this session, I thought 3 minutes was a long break but I needed those minutes and a few seconds more before I could attempt the final 5 minutes.

And I did it!! I even managed to sprint for the final 5 seconds! Hehehe. And I didn't collapse in a heap on the floor.

Very happy I got out of my own way! :)

Well done, you must feel really good now! I take my hat off to all you folk who run as soon as they get up, there’s no way I could run without plenty to eat first

First thing in the morning, I don't feel hungry so running is OK. It's just the mental battle of actually getting out that does me in. Hehehehe.

I know how you feel. I gave myself a good talking to tonight before persuading myself to head out. So glad I did! Well done for pushing on through. It's very much a mental battle some days more than a physical one. Dont blame you for having they lie in either😂

The battle is never-ending, right? But so glad when I push through and succeed. I have to admit, I am glad had that lie-in :)

Congratulations! Each run is a step towards building a running habit. And each run makes the next one doable. :)

I am reminding myself of this. I really want this to become a regular habit. :)
