So today I did W9r3, it has taken longer than 9 weeks and I didn't quite make the 5k in 30 minutes but this morning I completed the local Parkrun in a PB of 32:46 am so proud and happy. When I went to bed last night I din't know if I would be able to run today as my legs were really sore from running on Thursday (with a beginners running club I have joined). However when I woke up this morning was able to get downstairs without to much trouble so thought let's do this!! So at 9 o'clock the man said go and off I went. I said good bye to Laura and used my own music to run with. The weather was kind only a bit windy as we ran by the sea wall, and by the end just spitting with rain, to cool me down. I ran the whole distance and thought that I had been quite slow as when I finished I felt I could have continued running further, even managed a bit of a sprint to the line!! Then I got my results, 5K in 32:46 woo hoo a PB, I am so happy
A big thank you to my husband, the members of my running club all running and cheering me on and also to all of you for your comments, kind words, advice and inspirational blogs, without you I never would have done this!!
Am now looking forward to running on Tuesday (300 metre relays) and my next Parkrun on Saturday.
Oh and for those of you wondering ..... I wore big knickers and had no problems
