I am really enjoying my Friday after work runs. It has been a stressful month for me at work so it is nice to be able to come home and just run out all the tension. Last night's run was amazing. I started with a slightly altered route which allowed more nature viewing and that helped me to get my mind off the physical process of running, I paced myself well, got into a groove arund the 10min mark and was feeling great up until the 20min mark when my thighs were burning but I pushed through and when Laura said to amp up the pace for the last minute I gave it a red hot go and increased speed even though it was up hill.
So so so proud and I was on a high while feeling it in my legs. So when Laura said I was a real runner the tears started flowing. I can run for 25mins now when 6 weeks ago I hadn't run since I was in primary school. Amazing.
The goal of running for 30mins is becoming a reality. Bring on week 7!!!

What a brilliant run, Life!! Nature as a distraction, a wonderful pace and even a burst of uphill speed at the end...it sounds like nothing short of an amazing run!! How fitting that is...an amazing run for a "Real Runner!!"
It is so very amazing at how quickly this program transforms not only our bodies, but our minds!! You see, while the program is the tool that allows us structure, it is us...YOU...that provides the motivation and inspiration!! YOU ARE DOING IT!! Superb!! If you enjoyed this feeling...just wait until that beautiful badge pops up beside your name in just a few more weeks!!
Aw LifeWithoutTheCouch well done you! I've felt emotional too and hope I feel the same at the end of this week when I've done R3 too. Congratulations and roll on week 7 for you
