I have a confession to make....... i graduated a while ago now and since then have been a bridesmaid, had quite a serious chest infection so havent run for about 6 weeks and have lost confidence in my running!
I have been very naughty and wracked with guilt. Please can someone out there give me a much needed kick up the bum to get back out running please????
Very much appreciated!!!!!!!

I'll second that, definately no guilt needed :o) Sometimes life gets in the way and for what ever reason running has to to take a back seat. You should be proud of yourself for graduating in the first place and even if you do have to take a few steps back you've done it once already so you know that you can do it again.
I ended up having a few weeks off after I graduated and I felt like a total fraud calling myself a graduate knowing I hadn't been running and started worrying that I wouldn't be able to run anymore.
But guess what, eventually I swallowed my pride and went out for a run and I'm so glad I did. Just go for it, the longer you leave it the harder it will be to get up and get out there again.
I agree with Mitts that it might be worth repeating the last couple of weeks of the podcasts depending on where you're at when you go back out. I found that I was much better once I'd got Laura's reassuring voice in my ears, sort of like a comfort blanket I suppose..
Not so much of a kick up the bum as hopefully a gentle nudge in the right direction but I'll be looking forward to seeing how you get on :o)
Could you find a run to book on to for a goal ?? I'd say aim for a park run but I guess as they are every week you might end up moving the goal posts. My Big Fun Run on Saturday is the only thing that has kept me going in the last few weeks when work, weather and personal stuff has threatened to provide me with every excuse under the sun not to run !!!
I kick myself often in the patootie for not sticking with the program as i should. Personal stuff, illness etc. seems to become the top priority. Consider yourself "kicked" and off you go!!! Run just like a runner should run, you know the program works, so its just finding that motivation again. Wishing you running success! Gayle
You CAN do it! Get back out there and show us how its done.
I for one like the escapism that this running lark can lead to - getting plugged in to your own music and getting out there huffing and puffing and pounding away the days worries.
Just think of that wonderful after run glow you get (especially if it is chilly where you are!!)
Ok it may not be at your graduate level but what the heck - you may suprise yourself, enjoy reclaiming something you haven;t been able to do for a while and I amm sure you will refind your running mojo.
Good luck - let us know how you get on - even if it is only a little test run to check you can still do it!!!
