Right I finally got to run today...my plans for Sunday did not happen..has been a shitty week with funeral and Dad in hospital (out now thank goodness) life has just got in the way recently. Anyway have been feeling very sluggish this week so back on the dreadmill (radiator still stuck on full blast sooooo hot!) decided a bit of intervals required to build up ...so on with the polly2810 glam rock playlist...thanks jancanrun it is epic!!! And off we go. Did wk 6 run 1, managed it comfortably!! Felt great after my shower and generally more alert...roll on Friday...early finish and can get out there in the fresh air. Daughter says maybe do a parkrun sat, but then would not be able to go out Friday, didnt think of that did I !! Will just see what happens I guess. Happy running peeps!! πππ»
Kick up the ass needed! : Right I finally got to... - Couch to 5K
Kick up the ass needed!
Doesn't sound like any kick up the arse is needed at all. You are doing admirably.
Running and exercise in general can be a great cathartic release in times of great stress/trauma, but equally the body can simply not want to deal with the additional stress sometimes so just go with what feels right.
I have had a truly hellish week last week of the kind no one wnats to ever have ad it kept me from doing any exercise. Monday and Tuesday I got back on it and it was such a release of all the frustration and tension and I felt so much better for it. Today I hit a brick wall less than minutes in. Absolute body fail.
There is no rhyme or reason to it during difficult times. Just keep getting up and trying again.
Yeah thatβs what I figure... just run when I feel I can! Sorry you have had a tough time!!
Sorry for your shitty week...
Hope next week is easier for you.
Thanks...Hope so!!! Have had enough of this year...more than our fair of trials!! Never mind just life eh?
Hope next week improves for you xx
Go you... getting out there.. and doing it No kick needed !!!
No kicking necessary, you kicked it into gear all by yourself. Go Polly and hope the next weeks are happier for you and your family.
Your playlist helped massively!! ππ
Pleasure my dear....
Is the playlist on Spotify? I'm looking for inspiration for when I have to give up Laura in 2 weeks!
Thereβs a number on there, see here for details

Thank you!
Dreadmill - haha! Says it all, who wants to get on one of those?!! So - that's doubly brilliant that you did, in spite of everything that's going on....I'd be coming up with all sorts of excuses not to! You did it, all on your own without any kick up the butt. Gold stars all round!
Sincerely hope you and Rig both have better weeks to come and that the runs help manage some of the stress where possible.
Go You, you're doing marvellous ....stupid life π. I need me a playlist π
Much love x
Hey Polly2810 what a tough one eh? You'e ddoing marvellously well, you should be pleased. If it were me, I'd leave Friday and get out for the PR and join in the fun. Have a double whmmy. Thinking of you whatever you decide lovely x
I don't think you need a kick either. Sounds like you are doing well despite what life has thrown at you. Think you may have given me a kick ty.
So pleased to catch up with you and your news. Seems like you have got all under control from here. I am still running and loving it just lost my password for here. Will update in a post later.
