Well tomorrow is my first 5K. I am not consumed with time just want to finish. I started the C25K July 1. With many injuries slowing my progress but did not sway my determination. While I have not graduated the program I will attempt tomorrow and if I have to walk some I will walk. Left thigh is still.tender but I have stayed away from running the majority of the week to give a lot of rest to my leg and hip. Excited, apprehensive and ready to get it done.

First 5K tomorrow

Good for you. Enjoy it. You'll find the atmosphere keeps you going just don't go off too fast.

Kmass, wishing you running success on your very first 5K!! Let us know how it goes!!!!

Very best of luck for your 5K!

All the best for tomorrow. You'll be great
Hope it goes well, I am attempting my first 5K next weekend. Take it steady and I am sure you will ok.

Kmass, I did my first 5K last weekend, and I would offer you this wee tip.
At the start, don't let other dictate your pace, stick to your own. I found myself wanting to do a 'Usain Bolt' from the start tape!
Enjoy the run, and celebrate the finish. Good luck.

Good luck you can do it!

Ooh thinking of you let us know how it went
Well done Kmas-I support JohnCassidy's advice wholeheartedly. This is about YOU, not about competing as to who does what fastest time etc. Good that you are not, like myself, setting precedence on the time it takes you to run. Go at your own pace-I jog, because it suits me. Good luck with week 5-I've just finished it and go to week 6 on Monday :-).

Guys- I did finish the 5k and it was some walking and some running. It was a very hilly course which made it difficult. My goal was 45 minutes and I finished in 52. I was just stoked I finished and still had plenty of stamin. The bonus my leg was not an issue. That praise goes to God. Woot woot!!
