Did anyone else notice the song that is playing towards the end of the running? A cheery little tune with the words 'this is so easy' couldn't work out wether is was subliminal messages (if we say it is easy we will think it is?) or is it just taking the p**s?
Either way I was ready to throw my phone!!!!!!
Anyway, run completed, took it easy after reading so many blogs where people have struggled with this one and managed it. Not much else to say but roll on run 2!

Well done nicolaclaire. I'm afraid I couldn't cope with the music anymore after, I think it was, week 5. For today's run I decided to try a chillout selection and I'm thinking that it may suit my running style. I find those upbeat songs tend to remind me how slow I am going and make me feel tired! I'm glad you were prepared for this run. W6,R1 really took it out of me and I lost my mojo there for a while. The usual sane advice on here got me through. Now I'm just waiting for my shiny green badge to appear. Looking forward to seeing you 'on the other side'.
I noticed that song nicolaclaire, subliminal messages and all that ... am trying to make my own playlist before I throw my i-pod at someone too! Good luck on Run 2, you'll be fine, delia
Well done! I think I zone out from the music sometimes and didn't notice that tune. I'm doing W6R3 in the morning and have plotted a 4.5k route on mapmyrun.com as I'm sick of running circuits. I don't think I'll run that far in 23 mins but it will take me away from the village centre and then back towards it, so if I run out of steam i'll be heading in the right direction :-). I can't wait for continuous running - I'm really keen to see if I can get to 30 mins
Ha ha, yes, I think there's a whole lot of subliminal stuff, Nicolaclaire! Certainly to get you running faster (in my case too fast and I got tired) so I usually listened once to the podcast then didmy own thing after W7 - the W7 music did my head in. But I always liked the 'setting out' warm up music, makes you feel good to be going out to do battle with the gremlins! But don't, whatever you do, miss out on Laura telling you you're a runner at the end of W6R3! It's a tear-jerking moment.
