I remembered that my mobile phone plays mp3s and after a bit of searching, I found the headphones for it. So I was able to start week 3 this week after all!
My 1st thought was "There's no way I can run for 3 minutes straight!". But once the first 3 minute run started, it didn't seem so bad and it was over before I got out of breath. Having a 3 minute walk afterwards helped out a lot though. I think if I would have only had a 90 second walk after the 3 minutes, I wouldn't have found it as easy!
Well done. I find it much more satisfying to know I've achieved something that I found quite difficult. And the work that you have to do to achieve one week's runs set you up nicely for progressing to the next week.
Oh it works Muir and has done for hundreds of people now. This site alone had 2000 registered up to last week so even if you say 50% have completed C25K and many still doing it like yourself, that could be 1000 graduates and soon you'll be another one to add to their numbers of successes. Well done, keep up the good work cos this has been proved to work and work well.
Sorry about the long reply time. For some reason I didn't get a response notification email. :/
This is a great site, full of nice super encouraging people and wonderful tips/suggestions. Which is why I "drop in" several times throughout the day.
The best thing (in my opinion) is that the graduates still hang around after they've completed the "9 weeks". Having you and others here giving advice and encouragement really helps!
