Week One Day Two

I went for my second run today and in my opinion it felt a little better than the first. The only problem I seem to be facing at the moment with the running (and excuse me for saying this!) is the fact that I'm quite a large busted lady and my nipples are sore with the friction on my bra.....any tips on how to stop this!!?

Nipple cream? you can buy it at the chemist, it's designed for runners. (not the type you use for breastfeeding) if you are embarassed ask a lady pharmacist for chafing cream for jogging and i'm sure she will know what you mean ;) good luck x

You could put a very thin layer of vaseline on them, right before setting out. Or get some of that "titty tape" and put the tape over the nipples?

Thank you clairestanton, Id never heard of it before so I will look out for it. You can tell we dont really know each other, nobody who knows me would believe I could get embarassed about anything lol. where are you up to with your running and how are you finding it?

Hahahahahahaha. Sorry. Just wetting myself at the thought that you might find it embarrassing to ask about nipple cream in a pharmacy! HOW MUCH???!!!!

Not advice I would normally give but I have found buying my sports bra one size too small (cup size) that they dont more around so much, gives you a horrendous sillouette but I just wear a baggy t shirt and figure its only for half an hour, I am a 34hh so this was a real worry for me at the beginning, getting the bra on is a workout in itself but it works for me and is one less thing to be thinking about as I jog around,my breathing and aching knees are enough at the moment. Good luck.

A well fitted sports bra definitely helps, I'm 38e and don't suffer from that with my bra(if it's not the bra then either I'm not running fast enough or my boobs are small in comparison!) good luck! X

Since I didn't want to be knocked out while I was running (lol), I wear a Danskin maximum control bra...works well (I bought a "large" as I couldn't find an "o..m..g!" size) Getting it off after a sweaty run compares to trying to wrest an octopus from your chest...but that's all part of the joy of running, innit?

Fighting to keep my boobs under control/not sore is not a problem because I have not got so much to put in the sports bra cups, but I still need something there if only to soak up the sweat underneath!

My hubby used to run and has got rolls of this tape stuff which he would stick on his nips just to prevent that very thing.

I visited bravissimo and got fitted with a shock absorber bra - I'm a G cup but when in the bra look more like a c - holds you in place! don't think there could be any rubbing in it!
