Week 1 Day 1

Finished my first run earlier this morning. I wanted to know how far I could get in the 30 minutes so I walked/ran around my housing estate which is approximately one mile around. By the time the 5 minute cool down walk was finished, I was part way through my 3rd lap so I finished it.

Thanks! I'm hoping that I can actually build up to running the whole way in the upcoming weeks. My knees are probably going to hate me for it. :P

I definitely did! I've always been a walker and often walk 1-5 miles a day, but I've been wanting to up the pace a bit as just walking isn't shedding the pounds very quickly!

I did my first session today too - following a recommendation from a friend. Missed one of the runs as I had a stitch but still pleased with what I did cannot wait to try again in 2 days time

That's the neat thing about this programme - you can take it at your own pace. :) My next run is tomorrow (Wednesday). Since I know my approximate speed, I plan on doing the run on a different route, going through a neighbouring estate to my Fresh Start fitness course.
