Week 1, Day 1

I’ve been putting this off since 1st January but this afternoon I decided to bite the bullet and get on with it.

I am the heaviest I have ever been but managed to complete the full week 1 day 1 program and ran the running sections at a steady pace.

Blowing a bit when I finished but I’ll never have to do the first one again...

Roll on week 1 day 2!

Well done, that was the hardest bit! Now you are on the program just do what Laura tells you. The program is very clever and successful, do not worry that it will ask too much of you, it sets the time targets for the running and leaves the pace up to you. If it feels too hard don’t stop... go slower! You will soon become confident in setting a pace that lets you satisfy Laura’s demands.

Great start. I wasn’t at my heaviest when I started and I struggled with the first 60 seconds, so you did better than I did. Good job keeping that pace down. Enjoy your next run and have a look at the pinned posts for strengthening exercises and cross training activities for your days off.

Thanks and will do.

Keep at it. It's a great way to start running. I hate running but am starting to enjoy it (I think!)

Thanks. There is a runner inside me and I do enjoy it. However, weight gain has made it far more difficult that it used to be! I have also started cycling again and will keep posting on here with progress (or not as the case may be).

I’m in danger of my thumbs / fingers being more tired than my legs after replying to all of the positive posts on my first effort 😉
