Wow, 6 O'clock this morning made the 8 Min x 2 run , can't believe I ran for that long. On the first week I struggled to run for a minute now love it, love it, love it. Hope Week 5 Run 3 goes ok. Not bad for an old bird (54) who had not run since school many moons ago.
Week 5 Run 2: Wow, 6 O'clock this morning made... - Couch to 5K
Week 5 Run 2

Well done you I found with week 5 yes it was hard but so much more in my mind not my body. There is a few of us older runners on here and it is great when you know they have done it. Today I did w6r3 so 25 minutes and atm I feel on top of the world.
Good luck

Well done you! This is a very special programme and it is obviously working for you! Keep on running!

Well done to you. I agree week 5 was a real challenge psychologically. I'm another "mature" runner and in my late 40s. I've had a few problems with shin splints but back on track again thankfully. Just finished my Week 8 r2 although I'm not going to hit 5K in 30 mins. Keep at it and see you at graduation!
Wow you're doing brilliantly its great reading peoples blogs and replys'. I sometimes take a couple of days rest if I feel a niggle but always can't wait to get out there. As long as I can run for 30 mins I wont worry about doing 5k yet, I think that will come much later. Wow graduation will soon be beconing. See you there ....shiny green badge here we come
