Just finished week 2 of run 5! Actually didn't find it half as bad as I was expecting. Feel like this week so far has been much better than last week. Still nervous over the final run of this week, not sure how I will cope without my walk in the middle π
But still proud I've made it this far haha

Good luck to both of you ClairLou10 and Dreambird for your run of week 5 run 3, take it slowly, once you have completed it both of you will be delighted with your run.
I was really nervous starting out - donβt know why - I had Jo telling me I can do this and that Iβve been preparing my legs to do this run in the previous weeks. I went out around 7.30 - lovely morning, blue skies and not too hot. I jogged slowly and the first 5 mins went by pretty quickly. I then started having negative thoughts about just how long I had to go ! Changed the track I was listening to and kept on going. I felt amazing as I heard 5 mins to go. Wow I can do this and yes a huge grin appeared on my face as I heard βyou can slow down nowβ. Truly buzzing on my walk home. How was your run ? How do you feel about week 6 ? ππππΌββοΈ
Well done! I've not done mine yet. Will be doing it tonight after work. Glad to hear yous have both managed it. Gives me a little more hope for later on π€£
I always find the first 3 minutes hard then get into a rhythm and yes I was so pleased to get to the end, it felt so good, just going to keep taking each run as it comes, I cant believe I find myself saying I am enjoying running!! Well done to you.......we did it!!!
I'm at the same point as you, doing run 3 tomorrow!! My head says I cant do 20 mins but I've said that at the start of all the weeks and I've done it so I'm going to give it a go and see what happens!! Good luck
Thanks I will, I usually go out about 9am, my approach is with an open mind, I really want to do it but if it's too much then the advice on here of slowing down even to a fast walk will be better than giving up!!! Got this far so not giving up now!!
Exactly. That's the way to look at it! No pressure anyway, can always repeat if needed so just take it easy and do what you can do. I'm sure we will both manage lol
W5R3 is such a buzz! You CAN do it - it feels scary, but in some ways it's easier not to stop & start because you can really get into a rhythm. You are going to feel so great once you've done it!! Good luck π
Hi I did week 5 run 2 this morning, and later went with my other half on a bike ride ...29k! Good job we have now got electric bikes, but I won't be doubling up again! Decided to have 2 days off and run 3 on Monday morning. What I am loving is how much happier and positive I am after a run, so glad I came back to exercise.
I've done a 9k walk today. It's just too hot, I can walk in the heat but running is something else so have my run tonight when its cooler. Wish me luck π€£ did you enjoy run 2 ? I was so surprised and happy that I managed it! Well done for doing your cycle after, obviously you're staying pretty motivated which is half the battle π
Hi good luck for your next run. I prefer to get out of bed, clean teeth and drink water, get dressed and shoes on and out the door! I am lucky as we have a nature reserve near us and early morning I only meet the odd dog walker.
