Just cos I'm old.....

.....don't mean I can't run. But I last ran when I was at school, back in 1967. And actually, I'm not old, although I will be 62 next week. I started C25K in early January after a 45 year break from running or, as we call it here, almost half a century.

And I'm loving it. I did Week 7, Run 1 this morning without any probs and I'm confident I'll finish the programme. I'm beginning to think about a ParkRun (there is one locally every Saturday morning), and about stepping up to 10K. But, like so many of us, I couldn't have done it without Laura and the podcasts. A great piece of work.

Why, you're no age at all!! Great encouragement for us all here - I'm at the same point, did week 7 r1 yesterday. Such a great programme - I even recommended it to my GP a couple of weeks ago!

All the best - from a 55 year old who wants to be a super-fit 80 year old one day! Just enrolled for the Bupa London 10k in May...... we need a Bridge to 10k forum now!

Thanks juicydee; we do indeed need a Bridge to 10K forum! And I'm likewise looking to be super-fit when I'm venerable! Ya just gotta keep moving.

I did some Parkruns before I started c25k. I left school in 1961. You should definitely do the Parkrun - the atmosphere is very inspiring and the marshals very encouraging.
