I just want to say a massive thank you as this forum got me through my hard week 5 and knowing I could be a snail was the game changer ! So pushed myself today to do the 5K and I did it in 35 mins so I am chuffed.

Yours from Dublin 🌈

Congratulations FirstFifty on running 5K in 35 minutes, that's not snail pace, are you ready for parkrun?, there are several of them in the Dublin area.

35 minute 5k is really good at this stage and good full stop! I have no doubt that you will be looking at the 10k forum before too long. 5k to 10k is easier then Couch to 5k….because you are a runner now. No rush though; in your own time.🙂

You’ve done brilliantly and you deserve some serious celebrations. As Beachcomber66 says, you’re absolutely welcome to come and say hi over on Bridge to 10k when you’re ready…if doesn’t commit you to running 10k but there’s loads of support for continuing your journey and your may find your running pattern fits with the way others are running there..
