I ran week 9 run 3 this morning and have been celebrating ever since! I set out on my run from the gym and ran a city route. It was a lovely day with cooling winds and zero humidity. I managed 4.56 k in 30 mins and 28 seconds. Not bad for an old bird!
Afterwards I realised that I had been so close to 5 k that I should have kept going.
Hubby and I went out for lunch to celebrate.
Big thanks to everyone for all of your support. There are obviously too many names to mention, but I do want to thank Duddles (you should call yourself Dude - you inspire me!), RunVicRun for shaming to getting back out there the other day when I was trying to think up 101 lame excuses not to go, sallenson for the laugh (an alternating image of MAMIL and men in mankinis haunts me), Jay66UK (you are just always there with such uplifting comments - thanks) and oldfloss of course.

I was so excited by the badge! No I wasn't doing it for weight loss either but I do feel better these last couple of weeks doing the longer runs. I don't own any scales so no idea if I've lost any though!
Am definitely keeping up the running and hanging round here for a while longer 😊Good luck to you too 🏃♀️
When I got to 30 minutes I wanted a real podium to jump up on. There was a concrete bench at a bus stop and I was so tempted to jump up and yell 'yay!' but I thought better of it!
You only have 1 or 2 runs left ?? Good luck and enjoy these last runs! I'll be looking out for your graduation post.
Fantastic and that’s a fast run. Isn’t it the best feeling to achieve this? Keep 🎉🥂for as long as you want. I’m three weeks in and still celebrating mine!! Well done
Well done, and thanks for the kind words. I’m inspired all the time by people's achievements and I know how much this place helped me. Enjotpy your postgrad runs!
