So tonight was the night I've been building up to since 5th Feb, the last run of C25K, it wasn't a great day at work and to be honest I could have just given it a miss but thought a run could improve my state of mind. Went out into a cold headwind, then the shower started, no waterproof on, and thoughts then went to a 20min practice, but then shower stopped. At 10 min started to feel comfortable, at 20 more than happy, thoughts turned to I can really do this and at 30 with nearly 5k on the clock I was elated, now planning to do some consolidation runs and a park run for fun before I see what's on the horizon, 10k maybe πŸ˜€

Well done to you on a not so straightforward run! Tired-ish... wett-ish and cold-ish ! Congratulations!

Consolidation is the key now for a couple of weeks at least... get some 30 minutes in,( they do not all have to be 30 minute runs in consolidation time), get some shorter runs in too and do pop in, as the new running legs get stronger, some lovely, slow relaxed longer runs.

They are the ones that build everything up. Strength, stamina , distance and yes, speed and pace evolve too :)

Maybe pop across to Bridge to 10K and take a peek! But go get that Graduation badge first!!!

Thanks for your comments Old Floss and good advice as always, just need to do a couple of 4k's in the next week to complete my workplace strava challenge to run 40k in April, and many congratulations to those that ran that and more in London on Sunday.
