so long time lurker. This is my 3rd attempt! Started Jan 22 made it to week 9 th in 1 then my mum died 😔Started again Sept 22 went too fast, had to stop due to bad Knees. So now I have repeated week one and two about to start week 3 run one in the morning so far knees are good. I realise I need to take my time, it literally isn’t a race but ultimately a goal. Wish me luck.

I love reading all your posts it has kept me going.

Thank you all 😘

Welcome and it’s so great to have you here. Many, many people have a few attempts to get started and for whatever reason, stop but when the time is right and they’re ready, they make it all way to graduation and beyond.

You already know the most important thing..,take it at a comfortable pace where you can speak out loud in full sentences. There are loads more hints and tips here too…

It’s worth thinking about adding some strength and flexibility work on your days off, especially since you’ve mentioned your knees troubled you before. If you’re stronger, that will help you stay injury free. A good place to start might be to say hi on the strength and flex board and have a browse around.

Wishing you loads of luck 🍀

Slow and steady and do get some simple exercise work in too, as suggested by MissUnderstanding ...so much to choose from..you can check my post out there...loads of ideas there...I am repeating C25K again after time out, and am doing Week 3 Run 1 tomorrow too!We can run together...virtually !

I'm wishing you lots of luck, and sending condolences for your mum passing, it takes longer than we realise to come to terms with loss.Take it steady and slow and you will surpass your dreams of running.

Thank you. It’s hard to express the grief we carry but running is a great release . Even with the small amounts I have done plus it makes you fell so much better.

Going for a run is a most amazing thing, you can laugh, cry, reflect or just let your mind go blank and you come back feeling stronger and calmer,

I know exactly how you feel - I’ve started with such good intentions and somehow something always gets in the way or distracts me and I stop, sometimes for months! Last time it was because we moved house and so I decided to start up again and after 2 runs injured my foot! That was May, so thanks for posting this as it’s given me motivation to get back out there - if only I could find my trainers 😉
