Woo hoo I've finally smashed it!

Set off at 7am, still 18C, can you believe it? I told myself this was just another run and if it was too warm to go the distance, well the graduation run would still be there for another day. A few minutes in and I've hit my happy pace. My music was calming overlaid by beautiful birdsong. Then the 15 minute ding went, what already? I now know I can do this, so with renewed vigour I continued. In fact I even found the energy to up the pace for the final 5 minutes and did a PB for distance 3.8k. I'm so chuffed, I've got this biggest grin on my face. As with many others, I've never been a runner. Hated it at school and had never got the hang of it since. Until the amazing C25K, what a fabulous, supportive bunch of people you all are. Thanks for all the really good advice and encouragement that has really kept me on track, despite a couple of injuries. It has taken me 16 weeks to get here through cold, rain, snow and now hot sunshine. Next goal is to get to 5k and beyond that I'm not sure yet, other than running is definitely here to stay.
