Well, yesterday I did week 6 run 2. This morning I woke up and I just wanted to run. But if Steve Cram says test. I rest.
I’m going to do The third run on Monday so today I went back and did run 1 of week 6. i first did it 5 days ago and thought I wouldn’t get to the end of the last run. But today, it was so much easier.
Wow. This training works.

But please don't forget to take a rest day between runs , as a new runner we would not advise running on consecutive days until you have at least six months running under your belt (personally I would say longer )
I’m a run behind you! You’re obviously doing great - but do make sure to take that rest day from running. Something to do with repairing muscles! 🏃♀️🏃♀️👏👏👏👍
Well, thinking that I would never make it, I did the final run of week 6 today. I was slow but my legs held up well and I loved it. According to Steve Cram, I am now a runner!
Rest! But really well done on the progress. I was tempted by Steve too, but I've gone with the amateur, Laura. Their little comments make SUCH a difference!
I think that must be a point we all go through.
In the beginning I was almost dreading the run day and savored the rest day. Then it got to a point where I quite liked the run and the rest day was just a gap, then the turning point is when you wake up in the morning all excited ready for your run, and realise its your rest day. That's the addiction point!!
Originally, I ran with a group on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Covid got in the way of our group runs but after graduating from C25K, I started running every other day (I could not go a whole weekend without a run!!). Now, every day is at least a 5K unless there is something really serious that stops me. That half and hour is bliss.
Good luck, and fight the urge to run on a rest day, it will pay off in the end.
