Week 1, run 1 complete. Can’t say I enjoyed it or didn’t, but did like being out in the fresh air. Let’s see how run 2 goes. Pretty nervous about it as it is certainly not my usually thing and have always hated running, but my husband took up jogging during covid and now runs 3-4 times a week and loves it. Who knows it maybe our new way of spending time together. 😘

starting a new me
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on completing your first run. You found something positive too-that’s super. I’ve been running for a year and my husband has just signed up to do an event with me in June. I’m excited although he’s a speedy speedster with double the length of leg compared so me so we’ll see how that goes.
There’s a brilliant little guide to the programme here with lots of helpful hints and tips. Well worth a read. Most important is keeping it slow and steady at a pace where you can talk in full sentences without gasping. Most of us go too fast! Recovery days are absolutely essential too.

Brilliant start to the New Year! I know what you mean about being nervous but there really is no need. The plan is brilliant. It works, and the feeling of accomplishment on completion is really quite special.. Good luck!
