Morning. That run was tough if I am honest more mental than physical. The first 5min felt like 10 and the last two felt like 5 π€ͺ. So proud I did it as loads of mental battles before going out. Think I will repeat this week because if I am honest to myself not ready for the next step. Not going to do what I have done in the past and feel like a failure. Thinking of the positive and being realistic π

Congratulations on completing week 5 run 3 .As you say, it's a mental battle.
Moving on now to the next week is also a mental challenge.
As you have completed week 5 you will be physically ready for week 6.
However the mind may not be ready .
You can of course repeat if you want to !
After all, it's your program .
Run it the way that's right for you !
When you move on then take week 6 run 1 slowly as it catches people out with returning to intervals .
Enjoy which ever week you decide to do !
Congratulations.
No problem in repeating a week if you want to, but if you read this FAQ Post about mental approach, you might view it differently. healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Keep running, keep smiling.
Congratulations on 20 minutes of continuous running. Thatβs a huge achievement and you are right to feel super proud.
I hear ya on the mental battles. I always say that my brain conks out before my legs. I then channel my inner Nick Fury: βI recognise that the Council has made a decision. But given that itβs a stupid-ass decision, Iβve elected to ignore it.β Obviously only if my body is doing ok, but it seems to work.
Good luck with the next runs, whether thatβs week 5 again or week 6. Youβve got this.
Woohooo, well done on a full 20mins π
Read that quite a few have got caught out in week 6 so understanding if you decide to repeat week 5. From a mental point of view, without the walk intervals w6r1 is 18mins running and w6r2 is 20 mins so you've shown you are capable of it and you will be stronger again after a day or two rest. If you did start week 6 and it didn't go well - failure? Absolutely not. Worst case it's working out what went wrong, maybe too fast, went back out too soon etc. Failure is when you give up trying again.
Enjoy your next few days rest runner, 20 mins! TWENTY mins!!! πββοΈ
Well done! I bet you'll be bragging about this all day. π
What a great run to have done, you will be telling people for days π
That dam mind plays tricks! As people have already said you are ready physically itβs just the mind. You might just of had a bad day we all have it starting runs feeling tired and negative but somehow you just keep going! The next run is a new run full of positivity ππ»ππ»
