So I have lost my mojo approaching Wk 5 run3 for the second time. Snow and phone falling down the loo seen to that. Now feeling sloth like, should I start wk 5 r 1 again. Its been a few weeks since i have ran. And I am just feeling like...bluh! And a heifer :)

Why did you start in the first place?

Are you doing something else that will statistically reduce your risk of a whole raft of life limiting conditions?

Have you stopped the decline in physical health that so many accept as part of ageing?

Maybe you are happy to accept the rewards of non activity...........heart disease, stroke, diabetes, reduced resistance to illness. If so, that's fine by us, but what a waste when the rewards are so great for the rest of your life, just by doing some exercise.

There is only one person stopping you and only one person can make you do it..............

Well snow got in the way and my phone didn't work. Just got my new one this week. But I know I want to get back to it, was just wanting advice on were to start again. I do walk to work, take 20 mins. Then to another job, takes 30, and then walk home takes 45 mins. My age doesn't really come into it. It my mind. Stressful week. I know running will make me feel better. So it will happen come Monday. No time this weekend. Oh I know I can do it :)

You will only know where to start back by getting out and trying. You can't fail the plan, unless you go back to the couch permanently.

Ha! I have 'heifer' days too! But there's nothing more likely to lift your mood and make you feel more positive about yourself than getting out there and completing a run.

Week 5 was a transformational week for me as by the end of it I really believed I'd complete this thing. If you do Wk5 R1 today then this time next week you'll be basking in the glory of knowing you can run continously for 20 mins. Go on ... what are you waiting for?

Yes maybe try running W5 run1 again just to get your confidence back. Try to remember how good it felt as you progressed last time. Good luck!

Maybe start with w5r1 but if at the first walking break you think actually, I can keep going, then keep on going! You'll never know until you get out there 😉

'Heifers grow into beaitiful cows' is what I was gping to say but thought better of! Your mojo is just around the corner, at the back of a cupboard or behind a sofa cushion. The best was to find it is to fake it. Lace your shoes up and promise yourseof the 5 minute warm up walk. If you don't find yourself wanting to start the run, do the same tomorrow. Good luck. You CAN do it!
