WK5 R3 COMPLETED

Hi fellow runners, still find it hard to believe I am a runner, I finished my 20 minute run yesterday. Initially I hadn’t been sure if I should attempt it as I have a heavy head cold and hadn’t slept very well. I really wanted to give it a go though and was excited and looking forward to the challenge. I now understand what other members have said, at this stage of C25K, it is a mental challenge. After I had run for about ten minutes, I knew I would finish the full twenty, it was very hard though. If I can do it anyone can, if they follow the programme that is, good luck everyone😊

It is always hard if you try to run while under the weather, so congratulations on that special run.

Stay nice and slow for the next one........it catches out more people than any other run in the programme.

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾

Hi Pink4eva ...well done on the mentally challenging run...loads of us, me included, think that run is impossible but look at you? You’ve done it...it’s only impossible in our heads!! The programme has got you this far and conditioned you to be able to do that run...fantastic...be careful with your next run though, smashing the W5Run3 run often makes us feel invincible and w6r1 feels hard...keep it nice and slow 😉

Hi Mummycav , thanks for your support. I definitely don’t feel invincible😊I go very slowly, the 20 min run was at 6.1 km/hr, according to the treadmill. I will take it gradually 👍

Hi Popstess , thanks for your support. I had planned to start WK6 R1 yesterday but I have a nasty cough now, so had to delay it by a few days😊
