Ran Week 4 of C25k Zombie version this morning, but annoyingly it had more walking than running! Am I supposed to wander around with Zombies, or run away from them? Well, walking it was, for most of the run, which included:
- 5 min warmup walk
- 5 min running
- Repeat 5 times of ( knee lifts - 1 min slow WALK - 1 min fast WALK ๐ก)
- Repeat 5 times (1 min walking - 30 sec Running ๐)
- 15 min free form running ๐๐
By the time I got the the 15min running, I was halfway home, so I had to do a cool-down walk in the garden.๐
The walking sections really made me want to run. ๐โโ๏ธ
The 30 seconds of running in the next section also felt too short and two of them coincided with a downhill muddy, and another steep sloped section, where I rather walked. โน๏ธ
So not quite as satisfying a run as Iโd wished!
Next time, Iโll add another extending section at the beginning of the route, and I will run this circular route the other way around.
That way the walking sections will come during various slopes and muddy uphill sections, and the long level passage during the 15 min run.
Upwards and onwards! (And away from those Zombies!)

Think you must have the slow, shambling zombies ๐งโโ๏ธ, definitely not the scary, speedy 28-days-later ones ๐โโ๏ธ
Good that youโre raring to go with the running. Maybe itโs all a cunning plan by the app developers. But I totally hear you on the runs coinciding with the wrong sections. Itโs so frustrating.
And I am very amused by the thought of you having to do circuits around the garden.
Hope the next one is more to your liking but congratulations on getting this one under your belt.
This sounds fun...maybe you are meant to walk around threateningly Cooling down around the garden Memories of me trying to get 1kn out of the perimeter of my property during the lockdown! You do see a lot of things you have never noticed though.!
I have never done the Zombie runs...is it worth trying?
Zombies, Run is quite fun. And it also is a run tracker. (And I do love a good app!)
I have it on with my music, as the story is being told in short bursts every 7 min or so.
One can try it for free, and I think it is a really well made app. So if you like having a bit of additional entertainment on oneโs runs, itโs a good choice.
