I did it!!!!! It wasn't a bad as I was dreading. Had to take it slow in parts but just set myself small targets to aim for, round the next corner, the next junction etc. Can't believe I ran for 20 minutes without stopping π only thing is both shins are sore now instead of just the usual right shin but with 2 days rest I'm hoping they'll be ok ready for week 6 on Monday, woop woop!

C25K week 5 R3

Well done ππIt's all about the pace !
You'll be smiling for the rest of the day now !
Keep week 6 run 1 slow as it often catches people out !

Well done. π
It's a milestone. You'll be bragging about it for a while, I'm sure.

I don't like to say we told you so.............but we told you so.
Take note of Instructor57 ...........the next run catches out more people than any other run in the plan.

It's a great milestone isn't it! I remember punching the air after that one!

Well done, for me the 20 min was the break through. So well done, you can now believe that the rest of the program will be history in s few weeks.

Whoop Whoop Bill. Well done you π. See how far a little faith goes π so pleased for you. Onward and forward πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ.
Well done on cracking week 5. I am on Wk5 R2. Looking forward to the longer continuous run with a bit of trepidation. Congratulations!
Youβll be fine, Iβve just completed week 5 run 3 this morning. I was looking at whatβs next and week 6 is broken runs and walks again until run 3 which is 25 minutes for the next two weeks, so I think it should be manageable, hereβs hoping anyway. I donβt stop for weekends so Iβll be starting week 6 on Sunday π
Cheers foxton. To be honest I thought R3 seemed easier than R2! I think it's a mental thing. With R2 I was looking to the walk in between the runs whereas R3 I knew I was running constantly so I ran a pace accordingly and was not expecting to stop. Weird eh π² good luck anyway π
That was pretty much my experience.
If your shins are hurting after your runs, would you say you feel heavy footed when landing? Try shortening your stride length a bit to see if that helps.

Huge well done! Amazing achievement. Brill way to kick off the weekend

Well done fella! I have the pleasure tomorrow morning of attacking W5 R3 and am taking inspiration from your achievement. Best of luck going in to W6.
