First run completed!

Thank you to all those who replied to my beginners post a few days ago. I took on board all your advice.

I completed my first run today on the treadmill. Had a play around with the speeds for the walking and running sections and found a faster walk and slower run is suiting me at the moment.

I also managed a 30 length swim afterwards. With that in mind, should I complete the end stretches after the run or after the swim?

Well done on your first run, you'll find that all the advice on here is the slower the run the better, really just a gentle jog.

Personally, I would do the static stretches after the run while the muscles are still warm and more elastic, the swim might cool them down risking injury.

Keep up the excellent work.

Thank you Drun. A very good point about the stretches. 😊

Well done completing that first run !That's often the hardest 😁

I think a faster walk and a slower run is perfect 👍

And I would do the 'static' stretches after the run if you can .

Enjoy your journey
