Well first post! I’ve been following you all and got the motivation to start c25k. Im now on w7r2 and seriously cannot believe how I got there.

I feel so motivated and cannot believe how I transformed from the first couple of weeks when I was overwhelmed by the thought of a 90 second run, don’t even ask about the intermittent 5 minute sessions!! Yet here I am, motivated, inspired and ready for the next hurdle. I’ve already signed up for a 5k park run snd sim to progress to a 10k goal in February. I feel completely exhilarated and enthusiastic that I just wanted to share. Keep at it folks, this programme works

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

Having some targets in mind is great, so long as you stick to nice slow progression to achieve them.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

I absolutely embrace this and have followed the programme relentlessly; stretching is an important factor too, so I also complete that after every running session. I’m /00% grateful for this forum and all the advice I have read on here. Onwards and upwards
