Week 8 run 2.....found this harder than week 8 run 1 .....but happy as my last post was my " week 8 run 1 fail".
The advice and replies on here helped so much and although I found it super tough today... I knew I could do it ...and it was my fastest run so far...
I am surprised but think I am finding runs outside easier than on treadmill although my previous beach run may be the reason I found the treadmill run hard today...who knows?? π π

Thanks....I haven't tried to talk to be honest but I'm not going very fast .....I average just over 5 k but that includes the warm up and warm down walk ...I really want to run 5k in 30 minutes but will be more like 35 I think.I guess the more I practice after the better I will get.
It doesn't matter how fast you are going.........if you cannot hold an ungasping sentence it is too fast for optimal development for your current fitness level.
Have a look at this FAQ Post about getting faster, which explains the principles at work in your body healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Another one here adding congratulations on your bounce back run π I agree with IannodaTruffe - if you are fnding the runs super tough you are perhaps pushing yourself a tad too hard?
I am well past graduation now and still nowhere near that magical 5k mark. However, I can now run for 32 minutes comfortably, I'm steadily increasing this time, and I'm happy with tha. This isn't a race - well, not yet anyway - and some of us, probably never π
