So I have just done run 1 of week 8 (28 minutes running) and it was significantly easier than week 7. Pacing was the same, weather was the same. Distance was proportionally longer.
Differences:
- ran today (Tuesday) rather than yesterday due to a tooth extraction yesterday
- laura played up and paused during the 5 minute warm up walk so I ended up walking 7 minutes. I ended up turning her off and just using my wrist watch.
- stopped measuring after 3 minutes of the warm down (so the total was still 38 minutes)
- running shorts rather than joggers
Maybe the extra day of rest over the weekend helped?
I did notice a really bizarre effect with shorts - the bottom 10 inches of my legs were bright red at the end of the run!
Anyway, week 8 run 1 done, bring on run 2!

Your wish is my command (just remember you asked for it) - OH is suggesting you should all wear sunglasses to avoid being dazzled by the whiteness :-).
Good to hear it was a good run for you. The end is in sight... I've been experiencing terrible problems with my phone app - haven't actually had Laura with me since about W3. The app just takes forever to load and then pauses during warm-up. I'm about to finish W8, and I've had to do it all via my Strava timer. I do miss Laura though. Any hints and tips to get it working gratefully received. I did wonder whether it's because I've already completed the plan and am now doing it over... not sure though.
