Reading many comments spurred me on today so I thought I should get out at least once this week, depends if Sunday is last week or this week π€, but putting that aside I went out.
I am still holding back on speed as I can run faster but not consistently if that makes sense.
It was a little cooler today so I didn't start perspiring until the 9 minute mark. It used to be one so I am taking that as a good sign.
The 3 mins walk gave me the time I needed to cool down to enable a nice second leg of 10 mins. This was probably one of my more comfortable runs as towards the end I started to think ahead to runs without a walk break and Laura said and 5 mins cool down walk.
I still haven't answered my own question so I will leave that one until my next run.

Well done, if you can run and hold a conversation without gasping for air then you are doing well. 80% of your running should be this way. You only need to push yourself during the final part of the run.
You can put a earpiece in and you can pretend you are speaking to someone on the phone.π What I do is count 1,2,3,4 and if I find that I'm gasping after that I would slow down.
I tried this today on week 7 and if this is a measure of progress then I would say could do better. I counted 2 bars of 1 - 4 but then found my breathing was struggling. I then decided to concentrate on breathing rather than counting but good to have a benchmark to aim for. I am therefore not running at conversational pace.
Good idea amisfit to concentrate on your breathing, I should have made myself clearer when I breath out count 1,2,3,4 and breath in count 1,2,3,4 and if I struggle to say that I would slow down. Just find whats best for you. Enjoy
