I was looking forward to todays run, 2 x 10 mins should be ok with that. It's my daughters birthday today so got up early so I could be back in plenty of time for presents and cake and not interrupt her day.
The field was cool and quiet, perfect. But my god the run was horrible. I found it so hard. I completed it but I'm left feeling sad that I found it a struggle and I'm now worried how hard run 3 will be, if I struggled with 2 x 10 mins how will I cope with 25 mins
If someone else was writing this I know the advice I would give, bad runs happen for no reason, learn from it, you still completed it.......
This is the first time I've felt disappointment. I'm trying to think positively but at the moment I'm feeling a little sad and wondering if I will actually get to the 30 minute finish line
Birthday celebrations with my daughter for now, the perfect distraction

Wel done for completing, and happy birthday to your daughter 🎂🎉
I remember week 6 run 2 well !
It was one of my worst runs , just wanted it to be over , then it was !
Going back to the intervals after week 5 run 3 is tricky !
But that's it ! . intervals are now over , and your next 4 runs are just 5 min more than week 5 run 3 and you managed that ! 😬👍
You have got this now, you really have.
Get some good music on that first 25 minute run , and take it slow and enjoy it, just forget about pace , stick to the basics , a conversational pace , just run and enjoy your new found ability !
Your are closing in on it now and putting together everything you have been learning and you can and will do it .
Enjoy your daughter's birthday and start those positive thoughts for that next incredible run ! 😬👍
From memory I thought run 1 and 2 of week 6 were dreadful too..
Oh wait- I’ve missed the most important bit...
Woohoo!👏👏👏👏 another run under your belt... and on your daughters birthday too! That in itself makes this run memorable for you! 💕
I was actually going to title my post on W6r2 as ‘killer run’ but I didn’t want to put off people reading it!... it felt clunky and uncomfortable... and run 1 was called a biatch of a run!
Don’t let the self doubt Gremlin get in your head! 🤯👺
You’ve got this! 💪
You’ve also, in my opinion done the hardest runs of week 6!
My coach counted me in at different times on run 3... but it felt a lot more comfortable than run 1 and 2.... and I’m sure the same will be felt by you!
The struggle is real- nothing worth having comes easy!
Remember your struggle on week 1 then laugh it off ... laugh in the face of it ... YOU’RE ON WEEK 6 ... correction almost touching week 7!!!! What an achievement!!!
You should be feeling great!... come on lady!!!!
Today is a great day... you completed run 2 and it’s your daughters birthday! 🎂 That’s 2 great reasons to celebrate!
Don’t let it get in your head .... I think I was expecting week5r3 to be the hardest so W6 really slapped me in the face... I hated those intervals! See the positives.. the intervals are gone! Good riddance...
YOU are ready for more! 👏👏👏👏
Trust me if I could carry you across the finish line for run 3 I would ... you SO deserve this!!!
Run 3 is more than do-able... remember slow and then slower!
You got this! I have NO doubt and neither should you..
Now skidaddle and enjoy your day With your daughter 🎁
Ps. Just a thought But childbirth is hard! ... and you have done that! run 3 is easier for you! Promise! 💕x
Here when you need me but the strange thing is everything I said is true!
I think so many of us build W5R3 up so much in our heads that we are blindsided by week 6 which in reality is much worse coz the intervals are back! They are buggers! But not any more!
You chewed them up and spat them out and they are gone!
You’ve got this next run .. all you need to know is IF I can (and I did) ... then you definitely can!
Slow.. keep slow... get music you like!... and you will be fine!
I’m excited for you! Can’t wait to read your post!
You are within touching distance of week 7!!!!
And... there is always a positive... the positive you can take from this is you’re now able to differentiate between good and bad runs!👏👏
You couldn’t do that at week 1!
Keep running, keep learning and smash this last run of week 6 out the park! 👏👏💕
I feel excited to start week 7, for the first time I'm believing that I may actually complete this, thats only just dawned on me. That's making me feel more determined to complete week 6 positively. I'm finding it a little weird that the intervals might be a problem, surely I still need the walking breaks, maybe I dont .
I've put some songs on my phone already, 🤞 I'll be out on Saturday 😁
You definitely don’t - they were our friends when we needed them but trust the plan!... they’ve been removed because you don’t anymore!
So you should be excited... it’s so exciting!...
you are on the last leg (pardon the pun) of this C25k ...or put another way ... most definitely 2/3rd of the way thru! 👏👏👏
Everyone who starts it on week 1 is amazing but at week 6 I’ve promoted you to Goddess status! 😳🙈🤣. Seriously tho ... when you think how far you’ve come... it’s bloody brilliant! 👏👏👏👏
Yes I remember exactly how I felt on week 1, starting again after feeling like a failure the first time round, saying to myself "how am I ever going to do this , I will never run more than 60 seconds " and here I am nearing week 7
I do need to have a word with myself sometimes, I've actually done ok havent I 💪
Ah, the bad run gremlins! Sorry that they popped up on such a happy day. But these hard runs are the ones that prepare us best I think - you did it and that's so good!! I hope you manage to have a lovely day and put it behind you. Make sure you drink enough water ready for the big 25min. I tend to find good runs come after bad ones, so you'll likely have a great W6R3. You're doing really well!!
I think my assumption was this week would be an easier week, after all I did 20 minutes straight surely 10 mins twice is easy peasy, so why the heck was it hard 😖
