I like going for my run in the morning. However, I was visiting family this bank holiday and didn't get home until this afternoon. As soon as I got home I got changed ready to go and run.
I quickly found my inner snail (lol) and after my 5 minutes warm up walk, I was away. I really appreciated the cool breeze. Then Sarah was telling me to stop and walk for 3 minutes. It was at this stage, like others had mentioned, that my steel legs had set in.
I was weirdly glad to get back to running for another 10 minutes. This time I decided to pick up my pace a little. I must admit the last 3 minutes of the run was challenging especially in the heat but I kept going - I couldn't let my week 6 buddies down!!!

I just keep try and keep it nice and steady (slower then I would want) to pace myself for the whole run. Come on Stephen, we can show run 3 whose boss!!!
Running on a hot afternoon. I feel your pain. I too had to have a late run after a mostly sleepless night looking after my 18 month old granddaughter and all the ‘activity’ from her first morning smile. ‘Shattered’ would be an understatement but after a few hours recovery time I decided I was not going to let that beat me.
