Oh the gremlins were with me today! I knew it was going to be a tough one before I even went out. I slept badly last night due to worry about some symptoms which have appeared, and spoke to the oncology unit today who have cancelled this week’s treatment but definitely want tomorrow’s blood tests to be done. So yeah, it’s not a good headspace at the moment. I’ve barely managed to focus on anything at work today, and finished earlier than I have in months! But off I dutifully went for my run to see what I could manage.

Within the first five minutes I’d had two short walking breaks - probably only 30 seconds or less, each, but walks none the less. And then again in the next five minutes.

I was going to try to do the last ten without stopping, but the slight uphill got me and I gave in *again* - but only just for half a dozen steps then crossing the road, because then Laura started to say just five minutes to go - and I was determined to manage that! All downhill, so yay, run amd even enjoyed!

So I’ll do week 5 again next week. It should be better next time round as I know I can do the first two runs and can use this week’s successes to beat those gremlins down! And anyway, they had such a long run today they’ll surely be tired and have to sleep it off for at least a couple of runs now, right??

Well done Mrs R!!! You are a total marvel!!! With everything else going on you are brilliant for buckling down and getting on with it.

I will join you back at the start of week 5 again next week too. I’ve been isolating this week and couldn’t go out so starting again on Monday.

See you out there ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Perfect. I can’t wait to get out of the house and into a bit of countryside. Ollie is so sleepy and antsy he can’t wait for this to be over too!!! 🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️

Well done for getting out there. The gremlins get to us all now and then, especially when we are already feeling vulnerable. You did well to keep running again after walking and that last 5 mins showed you you have what it takes to grind the gremlins under your feet.

Take care. Hope all goes well 🤝

Well done for getting out there under trying circumstances. Good to hear that there were some enjoyable bits in the run. I hope you get your test results quickly. Lying awake with a racing mind is no fun. Good luck for your next run 🤗
