Today’s run went well! I found it slightly easier than the last two runs which is progress! It was still hard, but I didn’t feel like stopping like I have done in previous runs and I picked up the pace considerably for my last minute! Earlier in the week I decided that I should probably do an extra 25 min run before moving on, but after how well today went I’m just gonna carry on to week 8! I can always go back if it’s too hard, but I think I’ve got this 😁
I also have my first karate class tonight post Christmas! (Via zoom of course because of covid). I’ve noticed when I’ve been out walking my dogs etc that I’m feeling fitter which I’m sure is down to C25K. So it’ll be interesting to see how karate feels with my new found fitness! Of course the real test will be when I’m back in the dojo and I can train properly. Something to look forward to when restrictions are loosened!

Pretty good shuffling HexGirl 👍 and a karate lesson cool, what grade?
Why thank you! 3rd Kyu - I’m a brown belt 😁 I probably would have been going for shodan this year if it weren’t for covid 😭 but still, I’m certainly in no rush! It’ll give me time to up my fitness 💪
Impressive Very I used to many moonz ago used to go to shotokan karate, got as far as purple 2white but we had a 2nd dan in our dojo..... Very loose control 🤬 and I got a pretty good clack of him, apparently not intended 🙄 and it kinda put me off. Shame really as I liked it, and my flexibility that came with it was brilliant
You got pretty far then!! That’s a real shame. As a 2nd dan he should have had far more control! Tbh kata is my favourite part of karate, I enjoy it far more than sparring! And you’re right it is great for flexibility! It’s a brilliant workout all round really!
Remember your first one minute run and how you felt, and now you are running for 25 minutes you've noticed that you are getting fitter. Keep it steady at the beginning and you will find the run easier and you won't be tired at the end. Keep up the the good work let us know when you graduate.
It’s hard to believe how hard I found those one minute runs at the start! It’s been quite the journey! A steady pace is certainly the key thank you! I will!
Well done HexGirl, you’ll definitely find a difference with your karate, as you’ll have a lot more stamina and fitness. You’ll do fine on week 8 👍💪🏻🏃♀️
I reached purple belt many years ago, I was a member of the Welsh Contact Karate Association 🥋
Well done, its great to look back at how far we've come from that first run isn't it. It's definitely a journey of self improvement. You're almost there, enjoy week 8.
