I felt so lost...I did not have Michael Johnson guiding me, I could not decide what music I wanted to listen....I tried the Nike Run Club app but when the trainer said "who are you as a runner? think about it for 2 minutes, I will come back" I had to switch it off...so in the end I ended up running for about 3km feeling exhausted and very sad and lost!!! can you recommend me an app...tips....anything, please????? Thank you!!

Hi! Just stumbled across. Recommend the Nike Run Club Headspace runs! I graduated back in May and sometimes just reuse week 9 of the c25k app to have Jo Whiley’s encouragement in my ears, so something to consider?

Oh my goodness I remember this feeling really well!! I was lost without Jo Whiley telling me what to do 🤷🏻‍♀️I decided that I would play some music set my Fitbit to half an hour and just run on the route that I had used for my Couch to 5K. The first two or three runs were really strange without Jo talking in my ear, however I soon got used to it and now it seems like a real distant memory. I must admit I decided that one of the sessions I would run with Jo on for just the warm up it was so lovely, reassuring too😊 I then decided on one of my rest days to make my own running playlist of songs that I really enjoy. I soon found a warmup favourite (Eric Clapton) and now I just get out there and run without thinking. Give yourself time it will come, then when you do hear your coaches voice again either on TV or on the radio you will smile with pride 🤩

I am so used to Michael Johnson telling me to keep going....😭 but you are right, I have to create a new routine...I started the Nike Run Club and I was ready for my warm up and it went straight away to running and I simply lost it!!!! maybe I will try again tomorrow. I have always completed all of my runs. I feel like a failure right now!!

I totally understand because I felt similar on my first couple of runs when I’d completed couch to 5K felt a little bit lost! But I must admit give yourself time 🥰 I finished in July and I have run every other day (routine 🙄) then I gave myself a breather and I’m now running every couple of days which actually help my pace my whole outlook on running!! I wasn’t as tired and felt like I could run quite well. You certainly are not failing, think of this as a learning curve, where your starting your own routine of running. Think back to the very first run you did in week one I did it and thought I’m never going to do this! However looking back that in its self completing the 5K is a massive achievement so be proud of yourself 💪🏼🤩
