Just did my first run using this app with the help of Sarah Millican and I'm chuffed! I've lost nearly 3 stone since January with Slimming World and my exercise has been long walks and swimming. Weight loss is slowing down now so I've decided to see if running will give me a weight loss boost. Love this app and exited about what I might be able to achieve πππππΌββοΈππΌββοΈππΌββοΈππΌββοΈ

Congratulations on your first run!
I've just started week 2 and the excitement has stayed with me. Hope it does for you too
And well done for your weight loss, that's amazing!
Congratulations on making a start.
Don't see this as a negative, but running C25K alone is unlikely to give you much weight loss. However, if you measure yourself now and in a few weeks time you will see a difference as you tone up and lose inches.
The cardiovascular workout that running gives you will show benefits in your walking and swimming. Many of us have witnessed amazing boosts in self esteem and mood.
It's win, win. Good luck.
Good for you! I've just finished the second week and am loving it. So impressed that you have lost so much weight. I'm hoping I might too with running. It is encouraging me to eat more healthily.
Well done for getting started and congratulations on the weight loss. As IannodaTruffe said, you are going to have new body shape if you continue, and I've benefitted enormously in terms of my mind space. I started the programme after recovering from breast cancer and a mastectomy after only 3 hours notice and was struggling to come to terms with everything. Running has given me a real boost and a sense that I have regained control over my body. Even when I had to have a lumpectomy just after I completed Week 8 and reconstruction work I was undeterred and was back walking after 5 days, and restarted the programme after5 days later (strapped up to avoid any chest movement in a M&S ultra high intensity bra).
Wow! Your an real inspiration! Sounds like you've had a really tough time so a massive well done for keeping on running πππππΌββοΈππΌββοΈππΌββοΈ
