Foot arch pain

I feel like a real life runner!

I completed w6r2 last night after pushing myself to go out and I really enjoyed it!

I’m noticing more and more that the arches of my feet are getting very sore when I’m running. Any tips on how I can prevent this? Are there and stretches you can do that reach your foot arch?

This could be plantar fasciitis? You might need to see a podiatrist, I am not an expert but have suffered it in the past, If so very supportive shoes with arch support at all times not just while running, no walking barefoot even in the house, rest and rolling a frozen bottle of water under both feet after exercise helped me.

Are you wearing proper running shoes fitted after a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop?

No I’m not. I was planning to hold off until the expense felt justified (I’d graduated) but I’m thinking I might have to go sooner...

I have noticed this since I have been running for +20 minutes! have found that sitting down, and pulling your big toe towards you as much as you can bear has helped, as has putting some ibuprofen gel on the night before a run. 😃
